Mototire is located on Cave Creek and Sweetwater on the NW corner. Its a small garage just behind a small strip mall. Danny is the guy I have dealt with. A friend of mine turned me on to the shop a couple years back and said they mounted and balanced tires for a pretty good price. I took in a tire I bought online and he mounted it up and balanced it in about ten minutes and for 20 bucks. Compare that to other places who charge 25-50 bucks.
I recently wore my rear tire out to the wire and needed a new tire ASAP. I checked my usual website that has had prices that could not be beat. I also called around to a few tire shops in the valley, such as, The Wheel Shop and Cyclegear. After getting their estimates I was determined to order one online and have Danny at Mototire install it. I found his card in my wallet and gave him a call to check his hours and price for installing. Luckily I asked him to get some prices for me on the 4 tires I was interested in. I assumed his price would be the highest because it seems like a small shop. He came back with very competitive prices. Two of them were even lower than my online store that has never been beaten. He even had the tire in stock.
I explained I wouldn't be able to get down there until after work around 4 pm and they close at 5. He said "Absolutely, no problem. See you soon" The other shops kind of gave me a "maybe" "we can try to get it done" line when I told them the same scenario. That sealed the deal for me.
When I got there he came out and helped me with my tire. Threw it on the rack removed it, put the new one on, balanced it, and answered a few questions. He charged me exactly what he quoted me, and thanked me. I thanked him for the service and very competitive prices. Within less than 15 minutes I was on my way.
I rode the bike today. The new tire feels great and I was only out one day of riding.
Other shops will match prices but why deal with the hassle? I'd rather go to the guy with best price and provides the best service. I've already referred my dad for his next tire change and I recommend all you other riders to check out Mototire for your next new set.
