We just got back this weekend from staying at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown and I have nothing but positive things to say. The room was clean and since it is not too old of a hotel, the room did not show much wear and tear. The doormen were super nice and since it was pretty much our first visit to the "new" downtown Cleveland, we had no clue where to go for dinner and some drinks. The doorman suggested several places which were diverse so we could choose what we wanted based on our mood. Short walk to everything, Jacobs Field, the Cavs, the Browns, bars and restaurants, etc. Parking is not too bad, it is $20 a day but you get in and out privileges which not all the hotels in that area allow. 24 hour fitness center which is great and they even provide resistance bands and free weights if you do not want to go to the center...just call them and ask. The only thing you might want to consider is that if you are going during a sporting event and you take your car out of the garage you may have a problem getting back in until after the event. We were there when both the Indians and Browns were playing and our garage is also used as event parking and the lot was almost full when we got back to the hotel. I would stay at this hotel next time I am in Cleveland.
