Waiting to try hurts for almost half a year hearing them on social media... but it fell short to me personally. I got the glaze, streusel lemon and maple bacon.
Pros: the customer service was awesone. They were so hyped up and helpful in helping me decide. Loved the energy! Prices weren't bad either with all the specialties and classics. Moved from cali so it's really not that bad. Insides and decor is modern too.
Cons: the donuts themselves. Actually more of the dough itself. It was either doughy or stale on my part. I got the glaze it was really thick that I could barely taste the glaze(main factor to taste dough/thickness when you go to donut shops in my opinion). After tasting that, I knew the others will be the same. Luckily the icing on top of the streusel and maple bacon hides the fact of the dough is thick. Streusel topping was really good. However, just took bites of the top.
If you want dessert like donuts, go to hurts for sure. I wouldn't go for their traditional donuts. The streusel donut is good and would probably go for that after a night out or if I'm around. But the donut dough is just heavy compared to others. Open for 24/7, definitely have to watch which donuts are served since we don't know what time of day they were made. Recommend just going in the morning for fresh ones.
