I like this place. It's still kind of old Las Vegas buried among the giants. When I first cam to Las Vegas this casino was called Nob Hill. Next door was the famous Sands Hotel and Casino which is now the Venetian. It's located on The Strip. The Denny's was here when I first came to Las Vegas too.
We come here every time we come to Las Vegas. We love the Outback Steakhouse here. The service has always been fantastic and the food really good as well. They do a great job of moving a lot of people in and out.
The Hotel is a Best Western and pretty small about 150 rooms. The rooms were renovated a few years ago. Nice thing is they don't charge a resort fee like just about every hotel around it. I don't know how long this will last because things have changed over the last few years here with regards to it's gaming so other changes may be on the horizon here.
The gaming floor is pretty small around 18,000 sq ft. But the table odd are pretty good here even though they have gone up over the last few years. When I used to come here it offered 100 times on craps at all times. Now it's only 100 times on $5 minimum bet and 20 times on a $3 minimum bet. The times and days vary for this. So, back in the day (1990's) the game was a 50 cent bet, which allowed you to place 100 times more in the odd bet. This was when the rest of the Strip casinos allowed double to ten times odds so it was quite a popular place for gambling. Though it changed, it's still offers cheaper minimum bets than a lot of casinos on this part of the Strip. The casino employees seem nice and are friendly.
The location on the Strip is prime and while we come here every year to eat at the Outback and check out the gaming area, I don't know that I would get a room here. We'll be back later this year (2018).
