Massey Hall built in 1894 as a secular music hall. That fact alone makes me love it more.
The acoustics are fantastic. I was at the Classic Albums Live - Pink Floyd ~ The Wall concert here and it was amazing!!!!! We were in the ninth row and the sight lines were wonderful. The venue is small and intimate so it's an absolute must for concert goers.
Leave the car at home. Take transit. Get off the Yonge subway line at Dundas and walk south a block or two.
Two flaws:
1. There is a bar in the basement level and one up on the balcony level. Take cash!!!! The credit/debit line was extra super slow (partially due to the server and her pace).
2. The bathrooms are crowded. Expect to wait in line.
I love Massey Hall and can't wait to go back. It's a cool part of old Toronto that is still around and still great.
