| - This mall was just what the north side needed 10 years ago. I shopped here religiously up until December 2015. Sadly, this place is on it's way to becoming the next Eastland. On any given weekend you'll find gangs, yes...real gangs and unsupervised loudmouth, disrespectful teenagers...among other things. The movie theatre is practically a child's playground. Worse yet, several major stores have closed for various reasons (Gap, Coach, Ann Taylor, Anthropologie, Gap Kids) and are being replaced with non-national chain/unknown shops. Hair and nail salons are not enough to draw people to a mall. This is exactly what happened at Eastland - big chains moved out, unstable, poorly managed local shops moved in and we all know how it ended. The fact that this place regularly draws enough salty characters to make the 11pm news with shootings inside and out near Target in broad daylight, is reason enough to take my business elsewhere. It's not a coincidence that crime has increased in the area with the over saturation of apartments within 2 miles. I'll drive 15 miles to SouthPark from now on.
