| - Take serious note of the bad reviews on Yelp, Glassdoor and Indeed online. I am a former employee and working for Nolan Real Estate at Sierra Vista in Tempe several years ago was one of the worst, most abusive experiences of my professional life. I am convinced that the problem was throughout the entire company. I do not doubt that the problems persist. When I worked there, Property Managers came and went in a high turn over, each brining with them their own system of organizing the filing cabinet of tenant records and each calling each different system "the Nolan way". One new hired manager failed the drug test and another worked at the property for a few months before stealing rent checks from residents and fleeing to California with the money, not to Mexico! The district manager George Brown once told me in front of the female Property Manager, after I spoke to a prospective resident over the phone, that I "give good phone"; the female manager laughed at that. The communication logs in the computer software failed many times which angered a manager at the Austin, TX office. Tempe staff were accused of never entering information into the computer. I kept PDF and hard copy records on my external hard disk, and when I was sent to Austin for training I proved to that TX manager wrong. Another manager from TX named Lisa would bark at me about everything and would do so while extending her arm toward me before snapping her fingers and swinging her arm in the direction she wanted me to move/go. I filed my documentation with the AZ Attorney Generals Office then my records were lost by that government office. Then a new Assistant Manager failed to distribute notices to tenant that their rooms would be entered at any time for the updating of the cable wires. Office copies of apartment keys were left in the doors of a couple residents, leaving the rooms vulnerable to trespassing and attacks. Unfortunately no one was hurt and nothing was reported stolen. The plumbing problem was ignored for months, and the occupancy rating was constantly below sufficient for property management. No person in their right mind would live there. Former residents and employes continue to report abuses as recent as last year! If you are a law student at ASU, I think that you could find ample opportunities for legal practice by investigating and prosecuting the company in charge of this office.
