  • I wish I was writing a good review.... After a ton of research I decided that Jen at Lucky 13 would be the best person to do my art nouveau tattoo. I go in for my consultation to find that she has been double booked and is in the middle of doing a tattoo. So she comes over, spends all of 5 minutes chatting with me, leaving me feeling pretty awful about the whole thing. Still I liked her portfolio, so I paid the deposit to get a sketch done. I should mention, this tattoo was a cover up for a birthmark. A full week goes by with no sketch. I email. No reply. I email again. No reply. Finally I called the shop to make sure my emails were getting through. 2 days later she sends me a sketch. It is barely what we talked about and completely the wrong/shape size. I wrote her back saying that I didn't think the tattoo would cover my birthmark and that I didn't mind paying another $20 to have her do another sketch, but that I should probably come in again so that she could get a sense of the shape I needed the tattoo to be. She never replied, despite a second email. At that point I felt too awkward about the situation, so I just let it go. So all in all, I wasted a lot of time and $20 for a terrible sketch. And now I'm looking for a tattoo artist again...
