| - Overview:
If you're looking for a place with good service and food, do not come here.
Experience/Service:
Upon walking into this establishment at around 11AM on a Saturday, we waited several minutes before anyone came to the door, despite it not being busy. We should have walked out at this point, but we wanted to give this place a chance. When we finally were seated, our waiter halfheartedly greeted us. He avoided eye contact and seemed more interested in interacting with the other waitresses than serving us. We waited 30+ minutes for two dishes. To drink, we just had water. Despite placing the empty water jug at the side of the table, our waiter neglected to notice.
Food:
Beef Liver Special - $18.99 (came with mashed potatoes, peas, bacon and onions) - Peas were still cold in the centre (clearly frozen). Liver was average. Not worth the cost.
Breakfast Special - $15.99 (came with three eggs, bacon, sausage, peameal bacon, home fries and two waffles) - Very overpriced. Eggs were not cooked properly, clear egg whites still present. Bacon was average. Sausage casing was extremely chewy and dry. I couldn't even cut the sausage with a knife. Peameal bacon was average. Orange 'slice' that was provided as a garnish was actually just an orange peel. See pictures. Home fries were slightly burnt. Waffles seemed frozen and had to ask for syrup.
Last thoughts:
Despite this restaurant's great location (the heart of Main St. Unionville), I will not be coming back.
