| - I did buy a dress from here during their off the rack sale. That said, there were positives and negatives.
POSITIVES
-There is a wide selection of dresses in a lot of different styles. This was particularly so because they had both 2013 and 2014 Collections available due to the sale.
-My consultant, Connie, was great. She was blunt but not rude, accommodating, and thoughtful. I bought a dress that was nothing like what I thought I wanted because she convinced me to try it on. She was also encouraging when I realized that 90% of the dresses wouldn't fit me because off the rack are usually bridal size 10 and I'm bridal size 14.
-The sale price was good, and Connie offered to cover the tax as well.
-They also have a wide selection of accessories.
NEGATIVES
-Some of the other consultants were rude and pushy. If I had been stuck with them, there is no way I would have bought a dress even if I fell in love with one. If you book an appointment, see if you can get Connie!
-As other have mentioned, you change in a room full of dresses in front of your guests and the consultant. They should mention this on their website! It's particularly awkward when other consultants (and sometimes shoppers) walk through your area as you are changing.
-Because there aren't change rooms, you don't get the full experience. For one, there aren't platforms to stand on for us short people to see how the dress falls. Second, men can't see you (they don't let them up and you can't go down in the dress), so if you want your father or another man to be involved then too bad. Connie did let my dad come up to see the dress after checking to make sure all brides were dressed, but another consultant said no when I had asked her.
-Their alteration price seems high at $450 no matter what needs to be done. Other stores told me that alterations maxed at $350 or were willing to include them for free. I'm going to shop around for mine.
All in all, I had a good experience but I can easily see how it would be been horrible without Connie!
