Nostrano is exactly what we needed! A small, cozy, dimly lit spot that's lively with conversation. Nostrano has a carefully thought-out menu highlighting the best of the season's ingredients, without overwhelming one with options. The farm egg salad was almost a meal on it's own. The delicata squash cannelloni was light and lovely with a crunchy roasted brussel sprout leaves. The cocktails I tried, Piper and Nehi Orange, were sweet but not too heavy - very similar style to the Velvet Hour in Chicago. The affogato is probably the best dessert I've had in Madison in a long time. Make a reservation, it's sure to be very popular soon.
