  • My family moved from Hawaii to Las Vegas more than three years ago and didn't have a CLUE about finding an excellent primary care physician. We soon learned the Valley was a dis-comapassionate wasteland for healthcare: lots of arrogant, impatient doctors who didn't have enough time, trapped in assembly line practices. It was very discouraging and frustrating. Thank goodness we found Horizon View and Dr Damaj! His office is always busy, but you NEVER get the feeling he is inattentive or rushed. He always takes as much time as he needs and actually enjoys answering ALL of your questions. Lots of people knock his office staff; and, it can be difficult calling in, but when you're in a jam or have an emergency, they always seem able to quickly fit you in for that unexpected visit. Dr Damaj seems to have some uncanny ability to always find time quickly to see you and he KNOWS how to get things DONE. My mom waited for delivery of an oxygen concentrator for over one month from a script a hospital doc had given her. Seems the medical supply company could not get a phone verification of that script in order to deliver. After one month of waiting, we gave up. Dr Damaj got her concentrator in THREE days! Bravo! Finally, for those of us who don't have insurance, he has VERY reasonable private pay rates (about HALF of what most other doctors in town want). If you're looking for a top-notch PCP who has a great demeanor, really cares and can always find time to see you, Dr D is your man!
