| - After a year of living here my lease will shortly be ending and I cannot stop counting down the days until I will be out of here! While this apartment complex has a few benefits (location, parking garage, resident events), there are more cons that come along with the pros. On a side note they have the BEST maintenance guys ever. Anytime something needed fixing maintenance would swing by my apartment and complete the job quickly and efficiently, with a really nice attitude. BUT the cons do outweigh the pros in the situation. Specifically the following issues I have dealt with over the past year:
-Living near the office is a nightmare (or anywhere near the front of the complex for that matter). There are drunks literally out every single night, parading around, being loud, and superrr obnoxious.
-Security SUCKS! Due to the walls being paper thin, when a neighbor blasts their music at 4am and I call to ask security to do something about it, NOTHING gets done. I typically see security guards playing on their phones and mindlessly walking around, oblivious to anything that occurs.
-Management is a joke. They are very incompetent and rude if you are a resident. The turnover is very high and there is constantly someone new in the office. There are never solutions to any problems that arise. For example, when I went down to negotiate moving to another apartment in a quieter area, so that I could continue my lease with Grigio, they tried to charge me a $500 fee just for wanting to move into a different area in the complex AND said I would have to start a new lease with higher rates than those that I currently pay. What kind of b.s. is that?
-If you live near a staircase or a gate you are also completely out of luck. The gates are always very loud and whenever someone walks on the stairs it sounds like a stampede of elephants.
-There is garbage everywhere, typically after a Saturday night and the tenants are rude.
-Gym equipment is constantly breaking down (if not already broken).
-Pool is not heated and only gets direct sunlight about an hour a day, due to being surrounded by 4 walls of apartments.
That said, I suggest that you look elsewhere and save your money for a better apartment complex. If you are solely looking for a location near ASU, then this is a great place for you. Just be mindful of what you are getting yourself into when you proceed with signing the lease and have to deal with obnoxious things that should not have to be dealt with for having to pay so much money to live here.
