Considering my affinity for Joe's Farm, Joe's BBQ was a real disappointment for three reasons.
First, Joe's BBQ fails to live up to the expectations set by its sister restaurant, Joe's Farm.
Second, the potential downside of venturing to someplace new is not simply a disappointing meal. The double-whammy is knowing you would have been happier elsewhere. Such as Joe's Farm.
Third, the ribs I ordered and partially ate were fatty and cold. The latter attribute was probably a result of the cafeteria-style format, which admittedly is not in my wheelhouse. Given that I ate here at 8 PM on a Friday night, I'm surprised that my meal had not been warmed over.
Joe's Farm is phenomenal, and well worth a mini-trek to Gilbert. Joe's BBQ is not.
