Black Rock is a new coffee bar. Menu is similar to the simplified version of the Starbucks approach but with some clear distinguishing items to set itself apart like Irish Coffee, Mexican Coffee.. etc. I chose the Chai Tea which was a good non-coffee drink made with less sugar than the sbucks rivals (which I liked) .
The decor of the place sports a combo rustic/industrial groove of block beams of deep lacquered woods and high painted industrial piping. The seating is a combo of couches, big work tables and smaller two person talk-spots. It's a small shop, so not a ton of room for more than 20 people, but they do have a nicely covered outside seating area as well. This location also has a drive through that seems to run efficiently and reasonably.
My first impression was good and I expect this will be a good alternative to sbucks, since its pricing was comparable and the experience was fast and friendly.
