  • Doc Porter's is definitely worth a visit if you're a fan of craft spirits! The owners are extremely nice and knowledgeable. You can really learn a lot about the entire distillimg process from the tour, which lasts roughly an hour. They have free samples afterwards. While I'm always a fan of free booze, I reach true fanatic status when it's delicious. Their gin made me a Doc Porter's fanatic. It's perfect for a gin and tonic. The only downside to the whole experience is that you can only buy one souvenir bottle from them per year, but that's not their fault. We can blame NC's terribly antiquated liquor laws for that. Regardless, take the tour, and look for Doc Porter's products at your nearest ABC store!
