  • Average, low effort American fare. Maybe I just don't "get" Portillos, but I was not impressed. Their hot dogs and sausage sandwiches are average, I could do just as well with minimal effort at home. They always seem to have an unnecessary and unsustainable number of employees around. No less than 5 employees (not including those inside the building!) shepherded my car through the drive thru process.
