| - I worked with Rosilyn from Naakiti. She was very nice. I thought we were on the same page with everything until the wedding day. I wanted very loose, romantic spring time flowers with lots of greenery. I did not receive that AT ALL. Instead, I received VERY little greenery. My bridesmaids bouquets were tiny while the centerpiece flowers were bountiful with very little greenery (I would have much rather had larger bridesmaids bouquets and smaller centerpieces).
My biggest disappointment, however, was my bouquet. I wanted it to be romantic, light, and airy just like the inspiration photo the company THEMSELVES provided me with. Instead, I was handed a tight, round bouquet with my dahlia and one tulip already wilting. I specifically did NOT want round. The bouquet did NOT have a loose or romantic feel as was promised.
I nearly switched bouquets with my maid of honor, who's bouquet DID have greenery. Looking back, I should have asked to switch with her because the florist did have extra flowers and they could have made me another bouquet.
I did go back and meet with Rosilyn to show her photos of romantic flowers with lots of greenery 9 months before my April wedding, but I guess my desires weren't clear enough.
Naakiti did end up refunding me the cost of my bouquet ($220), which was nice, but nothing could change the fact that I have to look at photos of my incorrect tightly wound bouquet for the rest of my life.
At this point, if you choose to go with Naakiti, I would advise you to be VERY SPECIFIC with what you want, get it in writing in case there are issues, and maybe even splurge on a wedding planner who understands floral jargon so nothing gets messed up.
My husband spoke with Randi, the owner, after the wedding. She was apologetic and seemed to understand what I had wanted. She was the one who authorized my bouquet refund. My two sister-in-laws both worked with Randi for their weddings and they were pleased with the results.
