  • WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! I made the piss-poor decision to purchase a CalAtlantic Home in Henderson. RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! (especially if your sales manager is David Whalen). He will take you on a ride of a lifetime. Sales Reps have ZERO accountability and complete lack of follow-through. Between them and your superintendent, it will be a miracle they get the house you order correct at all. Appointments were always forgotten. I had to correct clerical errors or miscommunications between their employees numerous times. Any requests to the sales rep gets forwarded to the superintendent, and you are left hanging with a hope and a prayer that your request even gets read. When i showed up for my FINAL walk-through, there was a 12-inch hole in the stucco and you could see chicken wire and foam! Did they seriously think i would sign-off and accept the keys? Fortunately for me, it was the end of the month and they would have sold their first-born child to make their quota for that month. They sent out the only competent person in company to listen to my concerns and crack the whip on many construction workers. All of these requests had been ignored for months until they knew that I would not simply "settle" just to get the keys in a hurry. I'm sure you would have better luck buying ANYWHERE else but CalAtlantic.
