For the most part, we have been happy. We've had a couple of issues that have come up. We are really happy with our sales rep. She was amazing, helpful, and kind.
Sunsolar contacted me at the beginning of August and informed me the rates might change and to make sure I switched to the standard plan by the 15th. I called APS and the person I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about. He took me off the Budget plan. It didn't seem right, so I called Sunsolar to verify. The rep told me to call APS and speak to the solar department and change my plan. This information would have been helpful from the beginning. However, it was too late for my budget plan. I couldn't get back on that plan in the middle of August. I think this portion could have been explained better from the beginning. I received a $657 bill that was due to carry over from the summer and the current month bill. I normally pay $227 on the budget plan. So I'm not happy about that. When I called to explain my issue with Sunsolar, the female who answered the phone was rude. She informed me that I was only 61 days into my install and it could take up to 120 days and I needed to settle down. Not a good way to speak to anyone.
The installation company that came out was great. They left some trash in our back and front yard, but I picked it up since it was small stuff. The guy who hooked up the electrical brought me out to show me an issue we had in our electrical panel. There was some sparking and some wires were burnt. I called an electrician and he had to clip the lines back and re-attach about 10 wires. 2 of my fuses weren't even hooked up any longer. So I am very thankful to them for pointing this out as this could have been a disaster.
Overall I am happy we switched to solar. I know it will help with the environment and our bill. I'm happy we chose Sunsolar. I wish some things had been explained a little better, or when I call that the person I spoke to was a little nicer. I'm sure they get a lot of calls regarding the same questions, but that's their job. I'm not a solar tech and don't know everything. This is new to us. We are still waiting on the inspection so we can go live. I'm not sure when this will happen, but hopefully soon.
