They wanted $64,000 for a 308,000 point time share package. You also have to pay $600 a year in maintenance. There are more expensive packages, and there are less expensive.... apparently.... but they said it would take a half hour to get a list of packages. Yeah, right.
Problem is that the salesperson could not give me good examples of how to use 308,000 points in a year. And when I gave a clear example of how I vacation he didn't want to let me see how many points that would take.
I don't like it when you can't answer a question.
And I don't like it when a salesperson says you have to "purchase today to get the extra benefits."
Just say no, and take the time to investigate the company on your own, at home. Then make a more informed decision. If you're still interested, maybe call some companies that sell "used" time shares at a discount.
I just took a survey that showed me "most people know only one person that owns a time share."
If they are such a great deal, then why don't more people own them?
