Security guards at Dollarama! Guess it has been quite some time since I last visited this location because I was surprised to see not one, but two security guards by the entrance/exit. Was that necessary for a dollar store?
This location gets crowded mid-afternoon because school's out and the teenagers are numerous, so I supposed the security guards were for crowd control or perhaps they had an incident in the past that warranted the extra security.
The store, like any typical Dollarama consisted of rows upon rows of shelves filled with inexpensive merchandise, almost anything and everything imaginable.
The best thing about the store other than the location around the corner from Bathurst Station, it was on street level with lots of natural light entering through the large windows. Definitely doesn't have that musty and nauseous odour one would find in Dollaramas located in the basements.
The cashiers are often friendly, but like most Dollaramas, they're usually quick at scanning your items and then move on to the next customer without much words being exchanged.
