Decided to try this place Friday night when the wait for Texas Roadhouse across the street was going to be ridiculously long. We were seated immediately, and our waitress was awesome. Very attentive and humorous. We started out with an appetizer - a cheese crisp with shredded beef. I was worried that it wouldn't be worth the almost $9 price tag (how could a tortilla with cheese be worth that much?). Boy was I wrong! I don't know if I was just starving, or if it really was just that good, but that was the best shredded beef I think I've ever had. I could've eaten just that with some rice and beans and been happy.
My husband ordered the alambre chicken burrito and loved it. He gave me a bite and that might be what I get the next time we come! The vegetables were crisp, the meat was tender and the marinade was fantastic.
I ordered the chicken enchiladas con mole. I'd never had mole sauce before and wanted to try something new. The risk paid off because it was amazing! I would've bent my normal rule and taken a picture of my food, but it would've looked like a plate of fancy poo. Trust me, it was good. Haha!
