| - We stayed at FireSky Resort for four days and booked two days of spa treatments. It was a girls weekend and we had made our reservations far in advance. I thought the reservation process was very easy and they were able to accommodate the four of us at the same time.
I would give this place 3.5 stars. I would give it four, but to say I'm a fan is a bit of a stretch. But, I thought because of the price, they deserve more than three stars.
They recently received an award for best spa and I'm a bit confused as to why. The prices are very reasonable (we had a package deal so we got a discount which was even better!) but I wouldn't call this place a spa. They didn't have locker rooms, a sauna, steam room, hot tub or even a waiting room. They had four chairs outside (which can be very hot) or two chairs inside where they sell all the products. Not very "spa" like but we were staying there, so I guess it wasn't that big of a deal.
I got a massage one day and a facial the next. The rooms were nicely appointed and the therapists were nice. One pet peeve of mine (especially when I'm early) is that I get in late, and then on top of that, they end early!! So I booked a 90 minute massage but I probably got about maybe 80 minutes. Total bummer. The facial was fine, but unlike my friends I didn't get a sheet with a list of products and therapies she did. So even if I wanted to buy a product, I had no idea what was used on me!
All in all, it was a little disappointing. Getting shorted on the massage was the biggest disappointment because I love massages and never want it to end. I do watch the clock and therapists should know this!
