This review is specifically for their campground. We have never been to the park so I can't comment on that.
We stayed at their campground during Hurricane Irma in our travel trailer. We got there on a Sunday I believe and my first impression was bad. Very cramped spots in the area they put us. Most of the were extremely unleveled and prices are on the high side. Now I would imagine most people stay here to go to the park and in that case I guess it is rather convenient. However as a standalone park my first impressions were to pass.
Since we had already booked a couple of nights and were tired we decided to just stay. That's when things changed. When we woke up on Monday pretty much everyone was gone. It was great! There was maybe another 2-3 people there but we basically had the park to ourselves. Once that happened we really enjoyed it, lots of wooded areas to walk the dogs (which would be occupied with other campers on the weekend) and a pretty central location to other areas of Charlotte we wanted to see.
So I would say if don't like crowed and cramped campground try to come during the week. Otherwise maybe find somewhere else.
