| - This hotel is OLD. It is ancient. So everything is a bit shabby. We booked a room on the 20th floor, but were "upgraded" to a room on the 13th floor that was much smaller. It was supposed to be better b/c it had been renovated, but I couldn't tell much difference b/w it and the 20th floor room we asked to be switched back to, except the carpet was a more old-fashioned blue on the 20th floor (but was clean). For the money we paid ($157/nt + taxes), I would rather have stayed in a more modern hotel, where the shower didn't make horrible noises, the room didn't smell musty, and the bed and pillows weren't old and uncomfortable. (Btw, the bed on the 13th floor "renovated" room seemed to be the same as in the unrenovated room). On the plus side, the service was very good, the 20th and 21st floors have spacious rooms, and the location of the hotel is great. But I would not stay there again.
