I used to love staying at The Cosmopolitan as an invited guest of the casino. Now, it's so overrated and it's so packed with people I will not stay here again. So many issues for a classy hotel, I'm very upset with my recent stay.
Room Issues: I am paying an expensive resort fee for God knows what. $8 bottles of water in the mini bar is an outrage when they are $2 at the store. It just feels like a rip off here. The TV kept going on and off, on and off. Some sort of sensor was setting on the TV as I was trying to sleep. The pillows were very odd with no support. I pulled a muscle in my neck since I was straining my neck as I slept. The room temperature kept blasting out 40 degree cold air, and then the room would get warm, and then it would be freezing. My spouse and I both ended up shivering in this room and I got sick from the constant room temperature shifts. I was so uncomfortable staying here!
Room Service: I was charged $40 for a plate of pasta and lemonade. I ordered it without shrimp since I'm vegetarian and they still charged me the price as if I got shrimp. The pasta was very salty and lukewarm. Underwhelming in-room dining experience.
Dining: I had to wait over AN HOUR of Secret Pizza (not so secret anymore). The guy even forgot my slices so I had to wait another 15 minutes. There are tons of people and lines everywhere! I get it. It's on the Strip. But it's too crazy here now.
I liked the old Cosmopolitan from maybe 5 years ago much better. Even though it's nicer renovations wise, the service has gone downhill and you are treated in an assembly line. I feel ripped off.
I took my gambling/table game play elsewhere. They lost my gambling business.
