| - This is probably the worst apple orchard I've ever been to. I came here with a group of kids, we were told on the phone one price, when we arrived, it was a totally different price. The "store" if you can call it that had a few odd and end apples, 2 varieties, less than a dozen of each, and some pre-jugged "cider" in a cooler, otherwise it was empty.
The kids price comes with a few things:
1. "corn maze" there is no corn... it's a weed and dead brush maze, it's a muddy, unkempt mess, and soooo small.
2. 2 minutes in a bounce house, really, 2 minutes? Still, that's plenty of time considering that the inside of the VERY SMALL bounce house was wet and mildewy.
3. 8 apples that you pick in the orchard. Guess I can't complain too much for the price, 8 apples is not unreasonable, however, there are almost no apples on the very small numbers of trees they have, and just a quick question, how long do you think it takes a kid to pick 8 apples? 30, maybe 40 seconds?
4. 1 pumpkin... let me be totally candid, by pumpkin they mean you get a tiny gourd the size of your hand that is thrown into a muddy field full of pre-picked tiny gourds, many of which are rotting and just left there.
5. a Hay ride, so, the hay ride is a tractor connected to a truck trailer that has some bails of hay that forms what looks like a bench on each side. Just be careful, the floor feels like it's about to fall through.
The one and only saving grace about this place is that the woman working was fairly nice and seemed to try to be accommodating, offering a step stool to help us all get in and out of the trailer.
I can't honestly recommend this orchard to anyone. I was really disappointed by this place.
