  • I am new to surprise from Chicago as of 3 weeks ago. I have not even walked foot in the store. I called to have all my prescriptions transferred from our Walgreens in Chicago to this one. My husband had already done so and told me it's a very easy process. He said the pharmacist will just go down the list and you say yes or no to transfer. Simple enough. So, Rick, the tech answers the phone and I explain what I would like to do. "Would he like me to tell him my scripts?" He's speaking a little loud as he tells me (as if I'm an idiot) WALGREENS ARE ALL LINKED ALL OVER THE WORLD!! Or he may have said "Galaxy"... I'm not sure as I think I blacked out a little as we women tend to do when someone is being blatantly rude to us.....in....customer...service...(seriously?) Moving on, So I ask him if he could just go down the list and I'll say yes or no? I get "Well, MAM you DO have a lot of medications!" (I have 4) Then I offer to just go online and send through the requests if it would be any easier for him. (I swear I'm still being very nice!) I get "AS I EXPLAINED BEFORE (I must've missed it) You HAVE to have them filled first before you can do that!!! (I'm wondering what caused his bad day and if he gets that nervous/angry rash on his neck like a lot of people). Ok, RICK, I surely got it! ...so I think I'll just be quiet and let you lead. ... "Why don't I read through the list and you just say yes or no." DING DING DING! WE GOT A WINNER!!!!Darnit Rick! If you ain't just on top o things!! Boom boom boom! Order complete! We're good to go!! But poor Rick! He STILL havin a bad day! Well Rick, honey I am thinking about you and hoping and praying your day turns around soon! Life's to short to be that cranky... hang in there! Anyone who goes in to Walgreens, please please go back to pharmacy and give ol Rick, the tech a friendly hello, wave or just a nice smile! And if the feeling strikes, maybe a huug...I think he'd like that....WE'RE ALL ROOTIN FOR YA RICK!! I'll be transferring my meds to another store...
