Getting an 'appointment' at the genius bar is a joke. Every time I have had an appointment I have still had to wait a long time. They obviously don't have enough employees to cover all the appointments. They also give you scripted robotic responses about everything..."We'll be with you as soon as we can.".. I went today and had an appointment - after I 'check in' and waited 40 minutes, they told me the person hadn't actually checked me in. After waiting an hour, I had to leave. As Jerry Seinfeld says, "they know how to MAKE the reservation; they just don't know how to KEEP the reservation...and KEEPING it is the important part, isn't it?"
As rich as Apple is it seems they could devise a more effective system. Once you have bought your device, the support is terrible.
