I've actually been coming here for a few years even before I finally moved to Vegas, so I've seen the minor changes they've had over the years. I think it is about time to write a review.
Parking - MGM properties rolled out their paid parking. It's annoying but I guess there's not much I can do about it. I wish they could validate for eating there or something but anyway..
Came here on a Fri night around 6:30pm, there was no line to get in but the place was only around 40-50% capacity which was actually kind of surprising - as it's usually even less than that during peak hours.
Our server was Maryann, she was wonderful to deal with. She always came by every several minutes to check on us and was very friendly.
As far as food selection/quality compared to the other resorts, this place is probably closer to a 3.5 star. The other 0.5 star they earned from me is from the good service we've consistently had.
The good-if you come fri-sun for dinner, they usually have king crab legs and oysters. Quality is generally acceptable as long as you don't come too late in the day. The meat carving section is also usually pretty good - definitely get the prime rib if you're a fan.
Worth a try-I always find myself eating the Indian food- the naan bread, tandoori chicken and the curries always find their way to my plate. Their dessert section is small compared other buffets but still acceptable. They have their famous spinning wheel of gelato/ice cream as well as little different cakes and such. I usually find myself ending the meal with a cake pop and some coffee.
The not so good-the Asian food is a joke. I'm sorry. The "sushi".. Is very sad looking. The fruit selection is almost non existent. The cheeses look like they've been out for too long and the pizzas are always kinda dried up. They used to grill large shrimps and scallops in the middle but I think they pulled the plug on that.
In summary, come here for the king crab legs and oysters on the weekend if that's what you're into. Or if you like to sample little bits of each kind of cuisine. If it's not your thing then I suggest you go somewhere else.
