| - Hiring Fred Page to represent me in my divorce was a huge mistake. I probably don't have enough room here to state all of the things that he did wrong. One thing that he did when my ex was about to provide some hearsay testimony, I nudged him to object, which he did at first, but then he said, "no, I want to hear what she has to say" and he allowed my ex to slander me through a witness that was not there. He also showed up once, two and a half hours late, which annoyed the judge and made our case run into an extra day, which he charged me an additional 4 hours for. He never prepared for the case, and made no note of the piles of evidence that I provided for him, even as I was putting notes right in front of him in the courtroom. When I showed up early for court, I could see my ex and her lawyer, discussing the case for as much as an hour, while I sat alone, and Mr Page checked his email and made phone calls and worked on other case that he felt were more important. He failed to file and deliver documents for services I paid him for and as a result, the court ordered me to pay sanctions and attorney fees to the other party. He allowed my ex's lawyer to badger me while I was on the stand and never raised an objection. He was no match for the other attorney.
After he lost every motion and I was left without my house, without my kids and with no money, I told him that I would no longer need any of his services and requested that he turn my files over to me. He refused to give me my files and is claiming that I owe him money, which I do not. Two years after my divorce, I am still having trouble because of his improper filing and delivering. Even though he still has possession of all of my files, he recently refused to deliver an important document to my ex's lawyer for a service I paid him for a long time ago. When I told him that I thought he was a terrible and dishonest attorney, he blew up my phone with a series of hateful and insulting text messages, that I would be happy to share with anyone who is considering hiring this person. You would be better off defending yourself or getting any other attorney.
