  • renewable energy did install the brackets for the solar panels on february 22. the panels were "back ordered" and finally installed on march 11th. 2 issues with the installation. 1st. the installers were going to install the brackets on the wrong side of the house. the sketches/ layout that renewable provided us with at the signing of the contract ( september 2015) had the installation on the western side of the house. the hoa approved that location in october 2015. lucky we were home when the crew tried to install the brackets on the eastern side of the house and were able to have them install the equipment on the proper side ( western). the reason "the east side was closer to the electrical panel". so they changed the job without notifying us. 2nd issue renewable submitted the incorrect panel location to the county when they applied for the permit. the county inspector looked at the plans and failed the installation without going any further.renewable had over 3 weeks( time frame in between the bracket and panel installation) to change their plans and resubmit them to the county. the county inspector was on our site yesterday and failed the installation for the 2nd time. the revised plans were in the county office but not at the job site. so now we have failed 2 times and the inspector and or the electric company has yet to approve the actual installation. yesterday was 6 months to the day since we signed the contract with renewable.
