My son bought a pair of Ariat cowboy boots at the Scottsdale store seven months ago. The boots started to come apart at the sole leaving a 3" opening. We took them back to the Scottsdale store to ask about a possible exchange and the manager said he wore them too hard and got them wet without applying water repellant once a month to them. He refused to even send them to the manufacturer to have them looked at. His people skills were on par with a typical TSA Agent. The other 2 ladies working there said they had never seen anything like that and it was definitely a defect. You buy boots to wear and at $140 I think they should last more than 7 months. My Justin Ropers typically last about 5-7 years.
Update-- After a poor review of the Scottsdale store manager , I was contacted by the district manager within hours. He said he would make this right and authorized the exchange, at the Mesa store (my request), Amy was very helpful with the exchange.
One Star for Scottsdale management.
Five Stars for the district manager and the Mesa store.
