| - Came here for Boulder city beer fest 2016. The event was fun, but the park seemed a bit dull. Tons of grass & a paved walking trail, but didn't see any playground equipment or bathrooms & minimal park benches. Come on guys. This is a park, isn't there supposed to be for the kids. Kids: they like to swing and slide and play and stuff. Other complaint: there weren't many park benches. For a festival like this, perhaps it's up to the coordinators to rent additional seating/park benches to accommodate the large crowds, not the park/Boulder city. At $30-80 per person for this eveny , make some accommodations for people!
So I'm an adult, not a kiddo (what???), here for beer fest. So our options for restrooms are 8 pot o potties added for the event. Wtf. Not nearly enough. I also notice a line nearby, which I assume was for a brick and mortar toilet. But I wasn't willing to give up my coveted spot in the pot o pottie line to find out. So who knows what that line was for (not me).
Another note on beer fest, since there isn't a review option for the event, is that vendors were running out of beer starting around 5. So get there early if you want to experience the full effect of festivities. There were 8 food trucks present at the event, but they came with limited commodities, which meant popular food items sold out early as well. I should mention we arrived at 430 and hung around until 6. Early admission for the event was at 1pm, general admission at 3pm and end time was 7pm.
Bottom line: beer fest was fun and I'll be back for the festivities, but I'll be there early to ensure I don't miss out on premium options. And I wish there was more access to restrooms and seating, but can't change that.
