  • I finally made it to Sweet Republic! I visit Scottsdale once or twice a year, and last year, I could not locate it. I didn't have a lot of time to spare searching, so I am sure I could have found it if I could have had more than one shot down Shea to locate it. This year, I was more adamant. I had read soooo many good things, I had to try it. It was really, really good. I started with the mint chip and my son got the rocky road. When I paid for our treats, I mentioned that I was from Indiana and had heard about them on Yelp. When Bonita ( I said I would mention her name) heard that, she gave my son and I a taste of just about everything. It was so nice of her - she didn't have to do that. Because she did, however, I made sure to bring back the rest of our group to try it out. My Dad favors Sugar Bowl, because he can get a sandwich and desert. But he definitely liked the ice cream, so we will be back every time we visit to both Sugar Bowl and Sweet Republic. I just wish they weren't located so far out on Shea - and of course, I wish they were in Indiana too!
