  • I own a home in Scottsdale that Jomar resides managing the community of. 3 years ago they were sending me notices to fix my gas lamp. When I told them mine was broken and I needed to replace it I had asked for a list of replaceable units from them. They had faxed me over my preferred choice for a solar unit. After I had the solar unit ordered and installed I didn't hear from them for 2 years. Then out of the blue they start sending me notices again for the gas lamp saying the one I have was not one of their "Approved" units. I told them, "Do you really think I would just put any old unit in there knowing very well that you guys watch what paint I use on my house let alone already had sent me a unit name and model number that was approved by Jomar"?? Well here we are 3 years later and after 2 appeals to the board they are still denying my request to drop this fine. My attorney has instructed me to just wait for them to take me to court because I have a case of gross negligence with them not notifying me for 2 years after the new unit was installed. I personally cannot wait for that day to come. I have a home in Las Vegas where I live now and I rent my Scottsdale home out. They know I am an out of state owner and they take full advantage that I am not in state by sending me letters for trash cans, weeds, oil stains, gas lamps and you name it. Meanwhile I live in a much nicer area here in Las Vegas and I never hear a word from my HOA and I am as happy as can be. That's just another reason why I cannot wait for us to go to court on the gas lamp. It's going to feel mighty good to stick it to them after they have been sticking it to me for the last 2 + years. Just a horrible company to deal with.
