  • Overpaid for my car, and should not have bought from here, folded under pressure and should have known better since every dealer I have bought from has screwed me. Got sold an extended warranty though I told Todd the sales manager I did not want one when I came in. Was able to get it removed but payment did not go down- stayed the same, bank said there was nothing they could do about it, they took the warranty off of my balance owed. And I just found out I have lots of HARD HITS on my credit report stemming from my visit here in January of 2015. I was told by the finance dept that when I submit a credit application, several banks will access my credit report but it would only count as ONE hit. When Credit.com notified me of all of the hits, I called Horne Finance again, spoke to a gentleman who again, assured me this would count as ONE hit. Funny thing is Credit.com also told me after 7 days it would count as one hit- it does not. I have disputed the hard hits with Experian and they agreed to remove 5 of the hits but the other four I would have to either wait until the end of January for them to fall off (they stay on two years) or contact the financial institutions which is a lot of hassle for me.. Experian customer service stated these were "a lot" of hits, and basically 'buyer beware' and said I was given wrong information by both the dealer and Credit.com. I have a lot of hard hits that will not come off until end of January. Beware that if you fill out a credit app with Horne, they will submit your application to a bunch of lenders that will each do their own credit check and it will count has a *hard* hit, do not let them tell you it will count as 'one' hit or a 'soft' hit. So I just found out I got screwed again and have to wait another 30 days before the remaining hard hits come off of my report. Horne is your typical car dealer-dishonest and misinformed on important things like credit and they want your money. I already spoke to the GM after I bought my car and aired my grievance about over-paying and being sold the warranty, and now I find out about all of the hard hits on my credit. I won't even take my car here to get worked on I am so disgusted with these creeps.
