| - Annika and I had the most amazing visit with Mini North Scottsdale yesterday. We set out to stop in and take a look around as we really love the looks of Mini Coopers and always considered buying one, so of course, we checked reviews before going.
For 6 hours before Mini opened, I looked over their website and read every review, the good and the bad really helped to know what to expect so when they opened we were pulling in. Upon our arrival, we parked and started looking around the lot to get an eye full of these wonderful little cars, in no way were we once hassled while we walked the lot to look around.
After a few minutes of looking around we decided to go inside to get some knowledge on questions we had, right away we were welcomed by David and immediately asked if we needed or would like anything to drink. David was very friendly, helpful and not once tried to be pushy to sway our interest towards new or used vehicles; he heard us out and walked with us right to the cars we had interest in.
Dave is a Mini owner too and that really helped that he was speaking to us on personal knowledge of the vehicles versus a sales point. We got a true education on these vehicles and it was like visiting the dealership with a friend while we headed out on our test drive, we asked if "Dave came with the car?" lol.
After chatting with David and doing our test drive we wanted to get a financial understanding as to what we were getting into, this is where things became very different from every car lot that Annika and I had ever visited. We were given the basics of how everything works, and we were educated on the how and why choices as well. We were handed printouts to show us fine examples of what we would be committing to all based on "if's" without having to go through a bunch of us filling out forms since we were merely looking, though after some time relaxing with David we decided we wanted the car. We fell in love with the car on the first site, David and the other awesome people at Mini made things so smooth and comfortable that we were not leaving without a new car.
While David was getting things in order we were greeted and congratulated by several of the staff including the manager, very nice people. Once we made the purchase we were taken to a relaxing area in the back while they detailed our new vehicle. We were then educated on various options that we could check into "if interested" that would help us with owning a Mini Cooper being that we were first time owners of this type of vehicle.
Not too much longer and our car was ready and David came right up to walk us out to that beautiful car and we were not aware of what was next. David looked at us with a smile and said "Let me walk you through your New Car", and things got fun. This car has so many gadgets and computer functions it's just insane and cute. David took the time to walk us through on-site every function of our vehicle including setting up our phone with the onboard computer. Not only did he explain each feature and show us how to do it, he had us do the items too until we could work each item ourselves; we had fun.
In short, I'm certian that people have good and bad times with companies as so many items can come into play to make an experience good or bad for all parties. We took the chance to stop in and we heeded all advice from all 70+ reviews; the end result we had the best experience that we've ever had when purchasing a vehicle. Thank you Mini of Scottsdale for making our day an awesome adventure.
