Ed was instrumental in my negotiations with the seller. As a property investor, I know what homes are worth in terms of updates, and with a background in construction, my experience of renovating over 30 homes from top to bottom has given me insight into what to look for when looking at a property. All of that experience meant nothing when negotiating with the seller. But a third party who knows what they are doing, and who finds things that I did not, is very valuable in negotiating a fair price that you will not regret after purchase. Ed has the knowledge, the certifications, and the powers of observation, that make him worth every penny. He also takes his time, going over the same area of the house multiple times to catch everything. He creates an excellent and thorough report at the end that is useful not only for negotiations, but also as a 'manual' for taking care of the maintenance of the property going forward. I would certainly use him again. He is not like many of the other home inspectors that do a cursory visual inspection just so they can give you a long winded report that is full of unnecessary words to make them sound like they know what they are doing. Ed is the real thing.
