  • This is one of the most beautiful casinos in Vegas. I spent time in Caesar's, Bellagio, and the Venetian, yet this old classic was surprisingly nice. I like the absurd largesse of the strip, but kinda got sick of the repetition of it all and the cheap bones underneath the veneer of sophistication in those hotels. The bathroom in Caesar's by Bacchanal is gorgeous, but their restrooms in the gaming areas are tacky at best. Main Street Station, however, has a lovely bathroom with wood paneling and cool classic artwork in the hallway. The whole casino has an old saloon vibe mixing with romantic english details. I went to the champagne brunch which was under $12 and included unlimited champagne. The buffet had an interesting range of down-home style foods going from Chinese to pizza to classic American. I stuck to the classic foods and enjoyed the made to order omelets, delicious ham from the meat station, watching the chicken rotisserie over the fire, and the freshly made desserts. The scrambled eggs with ham was surprisingly awesome and way more fluffy and flavorful than the rubbery/watery mess I saw at the other buffets (yes, these were better than the eggs at Bacchanal). The sliced pineapple and melons were perfectly ripe and contrasted nicely with the richness of the other things on my plate. The cheese blintzes were good, but the strawberry sauce was too sweet for my taste. The weird boat-shaped waffles were great. I thought having pizza and chinese was a bit odd, but the kids seemed to love the variety (and the ice-cream). The eggs benedict's hollandaise sauce was a bit too mustardy for my taste, but I was so satisfied by the rest of the food that I didn't miss the eggs benedict. The waitstaff was really friendly and refilled drinks promptly and without being asked to. The line was really quick moving and 1/10th of the size of the lines of the popular strip buffets. I really liked my fancy room with a view on the strip, but will definitely opt for the more classic (and worth the money) choice of Main Street Station next time.
