  • I'm an absentee owner but I rent only good properties. I tried Oliver Ene of Ameropan and had terrible results. He has no idea of what a manager is supposed to do. He did move in a good tenant although they let a tree die and never trimmed the bushes by the sidewalk.; they did pay the rent on time - the only plus. These people moved the tenant in with a missing smoke detector and did not know how to get one installed!!! There was low water pressure just prior to the tenant moving in and when we sent a plumber, this "manager" removed the key from the lockbox so our workers couldn't get in. When the garage door opener broke, his office called me to know what they should do about it. I had to take care of that myself. Apparently he never even drove by the place to see what the yard looked like. I never got any written reports, just the checks with his 10% deducted. I have delt with several property managers and this is one of the worst; having no manager is better because then your repairs won't be held up.
