  • Went here yesterday for breakfast and today for dinner; Spring Break'll do that to you. Breakfast- ordered the bacon and eggs which doesn't sound exciting, I am well aware. But this was the best damn bacon and eggs I've had in a loooong time. Maybe ever. And I'm not much of a breakfast potato fan, but their home fries are beyond delish. Made with Yukon gold potatoes and clearly a lotta love, they were crisp on the outside and buttery/creamy on the inside. The portion was filling but not gluttonous. Who wants leftovers at breakfast anyway? Dinner, oh dinner. You are fresh in my mind so I love you most of all. Ransom was the most attentive waiter we've had in a long time. He was more than happy (dare I say eager?) to answer the 492 questions my husband and I asked about the menu. I ordered the short rib entree with Boursin mashed potatoes and asparagus. I did finish pretty much every bite, so I can attest to how uberyummy it all was. What my husband ordered for an entree doesn't matter (he loved it,tho) b/c he got the mac and cheese for a side. I can't even think about that mac and cheese without hyperventilating a little. Ransom said they used a white cheese from Ohio b/c we asked. Because it was in a class of its own. Because it puts all other mac and cheese to shame. Now that I've had the B and the D, I need to go for the L soon,I realize this. But I had to review while this is fresh in my mind. If they are this good on their second week open, I tremble to think how scary good they'll be given a little more time. So I don't sound like a total brainless lunatic who drank the Kool-aid, I have to make one suggestion. Plain iced tea instead of just mango would be a nice option. And that is truly my biggest complaint.
