Living across the street I find myself at AJ's at least 5-6 days a week. The sushi bar is exceptional and I never fail to recommend this to others. However, today as I leave the gym next door to make sure I get to the sushi counter before they close at 7pm I walk into a very upsetting situation. I get there at 6:30 and Don at the sushi bar answers a call. I patiently wait and then put my order in that I normally do 5-6 times a week. Don explains to me that what I'm ordering is something that gets made throughout the day and that it's the end of his day. I explain to him that it has ever been a problem to order this and that I am there almost everyday. He explains that he has other order to complete and I tell him I have no problem in waiting.
Dons attitude and poor customer service leaves me short of upset and surprised.
I patiently wait for my order and when he gives me my sushi I can't believe the preparation. It's not only sloppy but Don made sure I knew how upset he was that I ordered at the end of his day. 6:30pm
I kindly ask Don to call a manger and speak with Carol. Carol is very understanding and offers to comp my food. I assure her that I understand it is not her fault but only felt that she knew her employees were treating others this way. I would have much rather paid the $15 for the sushi I am used to than experience poor customer service and receive the good presentation Don made for me to take home.
