  • I hate that I had to give this four stars and it's even worse that this is higher than I should be giving it. We walked in and were seated by a nice hostess. She brought us water immediately. Less than 5 minutes later while one of us was in the restroom our waitress came over and said is there anything I can get you to drink and I said the water is fine. She took the drink menu and opened it on my husbands plate across from me and goes well there's this and walked away. He came back and I was going to go to the restroom and she comes back over after he said do you know what you want? (So he could order for us) and she comes back over and goes "well do you even know what you want?" My husband was like she's going to the restroom, thank you. She walked away and never came back and another waitress assisted us. This waitress was fine, nothing great or nothing bad. But I don't understand the deal with the first waitress and no introduction of reason for the second waitress. Everyone we interacted with seemed to not be very happy. There was a couple that came in after us who they put at a table in the middle of everyone and they asked if they could sit at one of the booths. The waitress was like that's for 4 people. Mind you there were 8 tables that we could see that were for 4 people readily available for a party of 4 to sit at. It was not busy at all. Now onto the reason we gave them any stars. I had the grilled cheese sandwich and ordered my side as macaroni and cheese. Both were simply amazing. As s cheese lover they did an a great job. The Mac and cheese has breadcrumbs on top of it which just tops off any plate of Mac and cheese. The grilled cheese was cheesy, melted, and the red peppers gave it a great flavor. I almost ordered it without bacon because normally restaurant bacon is just terrible, but there's was perfect. My husband had the fire grilled burger with jalapeños. It was delicious and again the bacon was a key ingredient to making it great. He also ordered a cappuccino. We were a bit disappointed that it didn't come with a biscotti since it was not a cheap establishment but he said it was delicious. The service was poor, but the food was splendid!
