| - Stopped in with some friends on a Tuesday evening (Half-off Burger Night) to see if the burgers were as good as their pizza, which is probably the best in Medina. Jo Jo's and Dominic's are essentially one and the same as they share a kitchen. Dominic's Monday/Tuesday pizza special, $6.99 large one-item, is available in Jo Jo's as well. My friends listened to me when I said the pizzas were fantastic. I tried a half-off burger.
Jo Jo's offers a choice of a half pounder ($8.29) or a third pounder ($7.29). My choice today was the half pound Godfather: bacon, mushroom, onion, provolone cheese, tomato, lettuce and mayo ($4.14). I added fries for another $1.99 and a huge draft for $4.00. When served the burger was hanging out over the bun. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the burger, but it didn't stand out either. Mostly it lacked any distinct flavor. If cooking a burger either do it over an open flame for a nice smoky taste, or sear it on a hot griddle to caramelize the flavors, then cook it as desired. But get that griddle HOT. Just cooking until done gets just an A-O.K. review.
My suggestion would be to check out my pizza review of Dominic's and get the pizza instead.
One other thing: Jo Jo's is shown to be wheelchair accessible. It is, but only if remaining in the bar area or using a booth. The main seating is down two or three steps.
