  • For the past 3 years I've gone religiously to this nail salon and mainly see Susan who does great job. The last time I went in, the open sign was on - I thought they opened at 9 (like most nail salons in the area) but now I know, they're open at 10 (mind you, I'd shown up at 9:55). So, I go in this time and am blatantly ignored by all the girls there and they continue talking to each other. I then said that I'd like a shellac manicure with Susan. Then again, I'm ignored and start to pick a colour I want. While I'm waiting for Susan to get the manicure tools/bowl of hot water. I hear these women yelling loudly in Vietnamese. It got so loud that I almost walked out. So, I ask her what they're saying. She said, they're complaining about having to clean the place and the amount of hours/days they work. Frankly, I don't really care what they say about the owner, the business or even myself, ON THEIR OWN TIME. But to continue talking like that in front of a customer, that is rude and extremely unprofessional. When I asked Susan to tell me what was happening, one of the other girls said to Susan that it was her fault for turning on the sign. The girl then said it was my fault for walking in early. At that point I was extremely upset because no, it is not Susan's fault and it's definitely not mine, the only people at fault are the girls who talk smack about their employer and their hours while a customer is there. After my manicure, Susan could see that I was visibly upset and told me to tell the receptionist (who could barely understand me). So I started to but as all the girls and a customer were staring at me, I did not want to make a huge scene. I should have walked out and gone to another salon, extremely disappointed and upset. So, I called and spoke to the owner, explaining that his staff are disrespectful, rude, arrogant (the list could go on) and he apologized profusely. I'm on the fence whether or not to return. I used to love this place, but now I'm not too sure. The only reason I'd return is because Susan does such a great job.
