| - After a long drive from the Grand Canyon, we were looking for a cool, casual place for some wine tasting in old town Scottsdale. Yelp helped us decide on this spot. I'm so glad we stopped in! The lady, I wish I got her name, was from the Bay Area too and she was very knowledgeable about how Arizona wines differ from California wines due to the production process.
They have nice and comfortable seating, nice air conditioning, and free wifi. You can also buy yummy pistachio shortbread cookies and pasta sauce and noodles to go along with your wine.
We did 2 tastings for the 3 of us. You can choose your wines based on personal taste. We liked everything, but our faves were the Malvasia Bianca (both dry and sweet), rosé, Muscat, Grenache, and the Sauvignon blanc. We had the wine shipped to us, 4 bottles for $20, which is cheaper than checking luggage. We didn't have to worry about bottles breaking, etc.
We were pleasantly surprised by this cute place. The woman was very personable, and again, I wish I got her name so I could personally recommend her to the Yelp world!
We'll be back, if we're ever in Scottsdale again.
