  • My husband and I were driving around near our house looking for a place to have breakfast early on a Sunday morning. We chanced upon Postino as one of the few places open before 10am on Sun. I'm glad we found the place. I ordered the scrambled eggs with salad and tomatoes and my husband had the ciabatta french toast. Both of our dishes were fantastic, though portions were smallish but overall decent value for the price/quality. Our coffee and mimosa were great too--mimosa way more champagne than OJ as it should be. My complaint here was with the service. I didn't realize that the restaurant's specialty is bruschetta and that they also serve the full menu on Sunday morning; nor did I realize that if you want bread with your breakfast you need to order bruschetta. Our waiter never said a thing. He seemed more interested in "looking the part" and I had to ask that he take our order at one point after we'd both been seated more than 10 minutes at a non-busy time. To top it all off, when we asked for the check, I was handed a bill padded with an extra drink and breakfast item--really, really BAD. I do see a return trip here, however, as the food is really, really well prepared from very fresh-tasting ingredients. But WATCH THE BILL HERE, KEEP TRACK OF WHAT YOU ORDER.
