| - This was my first reflexology experience. I decided to go somewhere close to home and discovered the following:
-This isn't like any professional spa. It's a pop in, get a quick fix, and go type of place.
-Scheduling an appointment isn't necessary, but recommended. Although I called to book a time, when I showed up there was no record of me calling. Either way, they were able to take me in within a couple of minutes. Something to note: I had to be quiet while I was speaking to the receptionist. The spa was one big open space where the customers are out in the open and able to hear you speak.
-There are no private rooms, just one big room. It's quiet with zen-like music playing, the lights were dim, and pretty relaxing for the most part. You will be sharing a space with other people who are getting massages. Fortunately for me and boyfriend, we were tucked in the back of the spa, where there were partitions separating us from the other customers.
-We purchased the 30 minute service to get a feel for whether or not we would like it. Much to our surprise, they massaged our feet, legs, and arms. They were thorough in the massage, but didn't give too much direction/instruction going into it so we didn't know what to expect.
-The massage(s) were quick and inexpensive.
I didn't think this was a bad experience, but I didn't feel like it was great either. I prefer to go to a pro spa and think I'll be sticking to that moving forward. Because the small amount of customer service received (i.e. communication/instruction) and lack of privacy, I'll pat this down with 3 stars.
